Hospital Bag Must Haves Part 1

I have been thinking of my hospital bag these past few days. The thought of Caleb being here in 10 more weeks is so exciting and has me thinking of everything that needs to get done. I have put a little list of a few items that have been on my mind lately for my hospital bag.

I will be doing another post with more items as well.
So stay tuned!

Here are a few items that I will be purchasing soon for my hospital bag:

1. Nursing Cami: These would be great to lounge around in the hospital and still be able to feed Caleb during our time there instead of laying around in a nursing bra. I figured this would also be great when we leave the hospital since I will not be getting too dressed up to leave.

2. Coming Home Outfit : I'm not sure what he will be coming home in, but this outfit from Carter's it too cute and it just might be Caleb's coming home outfit. I just don't want to bring him home in a onesie or something boring. He has to leave in style. Haha

3. Newborn Caps: This will be great after he is born and when we are in the hospital to keep him nice and warm. Not sure how the temperature will be in late January but I want to be prepared just in case. You never know with this Texas weather.

4. Newborn Mittens: Don't want him to scratch himself up, so these little mittens will help with that.

5. Medela Breast Pump: I don't have to have this in the hospital, but I would like to start pumping as soon as I can to help with my supply as well as collecting a stash this way I have plenty when it is time to return to work.

6. Boppy Nursing Pillow Cover: We received a nursing pillow from a former employee of mine when I was pregnant with Isabella and it is pink with owls, so I figured a nursing cover that was a little boyish would be a little better than a pink pillow. Ryan and I are planning on sewing a nursing cover as well, but you can never have enough cover just in case.

7. Nursing Pads: You can never have enough of these bad boys!!

8. Night Gown/Sleep Tee: I like the idea of wearing a sleeper tee while in the hospital than a hospital gown. It makes the stay feel a little more comfortable and who wouldn't want to feel comfortable after delivering a baby...right??

What did you put in your hospital bag that is a must have?

  1. I don't remember all of what I took besides what sanity I had left from focusing too much on the contractions. I definitely made sure I had their go home outfits and two outfits for me and the hospital pretty much provided everything else. I DO remember wanting to take my make up bag so badly so that while I felt bad, I didn't have to look bad too....I never got around to putting on the make up.
